NKs gallery in Stockholm

My design was one of the winning contributions of the “Grand Old - Brand New” competition organized by “Nordiska Kompaniet” in 2021. The task was to create an interpretation of the historic garments of NKs French woman’s tailoring. I choose Lady Kalderens ball gown by Balenciaga 1961.

After careful study of dresses by Balenciaga of the same era and a few sketches, I chose to create a mint green, silhouette formed silk ball gown. The dress was displayed at NKs gallery in Stockholm and at request it also entered the Fashion week trade show room organized by Stockholm Fashion District.
